FAIL: Track Announcer Botches Pronunciation of Racehorse Named After Mets Pitcher Jacob deGrom

In the 9th race this afternoon at New York's Aqueduct Racetrack, a racehorse named after Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom took home the winner's share. The only issue with the horse named 'Degrom' winning for the first time in his sixth start today was that track announcer Travis Stone had some issues pronouncing his name. Hear the audio below:


Stone, who is relatively new to racing in New York took to twitter to apologize to the Mets fans who were watching the race.
