New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard expresses his World Series despair and Spring Training joy in a new MLB Network TV spot that was apparently inspired by a Tweet of his that followed the Mets' loss to the San Francisco Giants in the 2016 NL Wild Card Game at Citi Field.
You can watch the spot above.
Baseball has a way of ripping your ❤️ out, stabbing it, putting it back in your chest, then healing itself just in time for Spring Training.— Noah Syndergaard (@Noahsyndergaard) October 6, 2016
The pitcher's Tweet from October has over 63,000 likes and 29,000 retweets.
MLB Network has been running the spot to promote its Spring Training coverage. They even had Syndergaard narrate it for them.
The network and Syndergaard then had a cute little back and forth following the ad's debut.
Pitchers and catchers report next week.
And, yes, that is a Coldplay song playing in the background.
