Donald Trump’s Presidential victory in 2024 was a shock to some, but what surprised even more people was which demographics he was able to swing. Young male voters of all races moved significantly towards Donald Trump. Clay Travis, co-host of “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” heard weekdays from 12-3pm on 710 WOR, spoke with Mendte in the Morning about his new book “Balls,” which discusses exactly how Donald Trump was able to swing this demographic so heavily in his favor.
“It’s really an analysis of how Democrats have lost men,” Travis tells host Larry Mendte. “White, Black, Asian, Hispanic men… and I think it was young men that helped to drive [Trump’s] victory.”
Travis believes sports played a big part in this swing: “Sports is the ultimate meritocracy and what I started to see happen was [Democrats] tried to bring identity politics to sports.”
