Being happy with your place of employment and not having to worry about looking for a new job is a great feeling. While it would be easy to kick back and enjoy your situation, some believe that you should still be looking for different jobs. Greg Giangrande, career advice expert, spoke to Mendte in the Morning to answer the question of when you should be looking for a new job.
“The best time to keep your head up and aware of what is out there is when you’re happy,” Giangrande told host Larry Mendte. “When you’re miserable you tend to look at opportunities through rose colored glasses.”
Giangrande believes that whether or not you want to leave it is smart to be open with your process: “I think being honest about what we all do anyway, there’s no harm to your career and it could keep your boss on their toes.”
