Following the assault on two police officers in Times Square, Mayor Eric Adams is expanding a curfew at migrant shelters.
Twenty additional shelters around the city will face the 11 p.m. curfew, impacting about 3,600 migrants. A curfew is already in place at four shelters, requiring those staying there to be inside until 6 a.m.
Last month, a group of suspects was seen on video attacking two police officers outside a shelter in Times Square. Some of the suspects are believed to be migrants.
