New York Drops Outdoor Mask Requirement At School

Governor Andrew Cuomo says it will now be up to individual schools to decide whether to require masks to be worn outside.

The same applies for summer camps.

“If you can go to camp and run around and play volleyball and not wear a mask, you in the playground in school, you can not wear a mask,” Governor Cuomo said.

Masks are still required indoors at school.Cuomo wanted to drop that requirement, but he has not heard back from the CDC with an answer.

“They're not going to change their guidance for several weeks,” Cuomo said.
