Beginning on Tuesday, everyone in New York who is at least 16 years old can make an appointment to get the coronavirus vaccine.
Only Pfizer has been approved for people who are 16 and 17. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be available to everyone 18 and older.
This comes as New Jersey will expand eligibility to every 16 and above on April 19th. Governor Murphy said the state is taking this step 12 days ahead of schedule because of the trajectory of the vaccinations.
Currently, people 55 and above and specific groups of people are eligible in New Jersey.
