PGA Tour Golfer Accidentally Hit Wife In Head At Byron Nelson

You would think Tyler Duncan got off to a great start at the AT&T Byron Nelson when he fired a five-under 66 on Friday putting him into a tie for second place heading into the weekend.

But despite the 29-year-old recording six birdies and had just one bogey on Friday, it was that lone bogey that he is going to hear about from his wife, Maria.

The reason he got a bogey on the hole is because one of his shots ended up taking an errant bounce off a fan’s head near the green.

And that fan was his wife, Maria.

Duncan’s approach shot on the par-4 13th sailed wide right of the green and took a bounce before hitting Maria and landing about 34-yards from the green. Thankfully, Maria wasn’t hurt and wasn’t even impacted by the shot. Duncan only found out about the incident after the round.

Something tells me he heard about it the rest of the weekend though.

Hey, it’s worth noting Duncan finished tied for 5th in the tourney, tying him for the best finish of his career.

Hate to tell his wife, hitting her in the head may be good luck.
