Country House has officially won the 145th Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs after a review disqualified Maximum Security. An objection was placed after Maximum Security initially won the historic race.

Apparently, a video review determined Maximum Security impeded War of Will – and any time one horse “interferes” with another, it’s out. In this case, Maximum Security left its lane. As such, Country House was then named the winner. Code of Honor ended up placing second while Tacitus finished third.

This is the first time the apparent winner of the Kentucky Derby was disqualified after the race – and for his part, President Trump doesn't think it was a good decision.Taking to Twitter, the President explained, quote: "the best horse did NOT win the Kentucky Derby - not even close!" The President said "only in these days of political correctness could such an overturn occur," adding the Derby "was a rough and tumble race on a wet and sloppy track, actually, a beautiful thing to watch."
