It’s official, Jimmy Carter is now the longest-living president in U.S. history. Mr. Carter is 94 years and 172 days old, surpassing George H.W. Bush's age when he died last November.
The former president's human rights and anti-poverty organization The Carter Center says they are "rooting for him" to continue on. Carter and his wife Rosalynn lead an active lifestyle by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He’s also beaten back brain cancer in recent years.
Bush, Carter and Ronald Reagan are the only presidents to pass the 90-year mark.
