Trump In Vietnam For Second Kim Summit

President Trump says he’s looking forward to a very good meeting with North Korea’s diminutive dictator Kim Jong Un. Talking to a group of governors at the White House, Trump said he hopes to convince Kim of the positive economic impacts for his nation if North Korea gives up its nuclear ambitions.

“I think we’ll have a very tremendous summit,” Trump offered. “We want denuclearization, and I think he’ll have a country that will set a lot of records for speed in terms of an economy.” Trump and Kim are set to meet tomorrow and Thursday in Hanoi.

But it’s not as though the President thinks he’s got the big meeting in the bag. He admits he can’t do it alone – and that he needs China’s help. “I have to really thank President Xi…he has been a big help with respect to North Korea,” Trump noted. “I have a very, very good relationship with Kim Jong Un. Very, very good. But we need all the help we can get.”
