Larry Hackett: Host Was Missed From Oscars

ABC analyst Larry Hackett said not having a host at Sunday night’s Oscars hurt the show.

“It was kind of like being at a bar and watching a ballgame with the sound down. I actually missed it more than I thought I would,” Hackett told WOR’s “Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning.”

Hackett said a host can help keep the show moving by telling a few jokes and giving context to important moments.

Hackett predicted that ratings would be down for the Oscars.
