Bernie Sanders Raises $3.3 Million In First Day Of Campaign

Senator Bernie Sanders is officially throwing his hat back in the ring, announcing his 2020 presidential bid. The Vermont independent broke the news in an interview on Vermont Public Radio before launching a video online.

Of course, this is the second attempt at winning the White House for the 77-year-old who says, quote - "We began the political revolution in the 2016 campaign, and now it's time to move that revolution forward." And for those wondering if he’s got any juice in an already crowded Democrat field – apparently so.

The Sanders campaign raised more than three-point-three million dollars from 120-thousand donors in its first day. Thatmore than doublesthe previous top-fundraiser California Senator Kamala Harris raised in her first 24 hours. The other Democratic candidate to raise more than one-million dollars on the first day is Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.
