Jussie Smollett is speaking at length for the first about his attack he says he suffered in Chicago - and you'll see the sit-down with Robin Roberts on this morning’s edition of Good Morning America. The “Empire” star gave a tearful account of the attack, which the Chicago Police Department is investigating as a possible hate crime that racially motivated and homophobic.
He also talks about being angry – both about the attack itself, and about the fact that some doubt his account. “It's like, you know, at first, it was a thing of...'If I tell the truth then that's it, 'cause it's the truth,’” he noted. “Then it became a thing of, ‘Oh, how can you doubt that? Like, how do you – how do you not believe that? It's the truth.’”
