Bella Hadid has confirmed that fans will see her walking the runway for this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in a post to her Instagram. “I can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful outfits,” Hadid wrote alongside some shots of her in snakeskin boots and a bikini. “I’m so grateful to be a part of this show again.”
But rather than congratulating her, some fans have voiced their issues with the bikini shots she posted. Here’s what they had to say:
- One user called the model “skin and bone.” “I have nothing against being slim but this is unhealthy on so many levels,” the commenter continued. “Shame on @VictoriasSecret for encouraging and promoting this totally unrealistic image.”
- Another Instagrammer said, “I will never understand why bones protruding through skin is considered beautiful.”
- A third follower thinks that Hadid looks great, but worries about the effect it could have on her followers. “She does look a bit boney in these photos and I worry how this will impact some women with body issues,” the user offered.
While she didn’t respond to the comments directly, Hadid later updated her caption to hit back at the body shamers. “All body types are different and react differently to a great workout routine and a healthy diet,” she noted.
