Al Roker Defends Halloween Costume

Al Roker found himself in the position of explaining himself when several Internet trolls came after him for his choice of Halloween costume. In case you missed it, “Today’s” beloved weatherman dressed as “Back to the Future’s” Doc Brown. Christopher Lloyd – a White actor – played the iconic role in the 1985 film.

Some thought it was hypocritical for Al – who criticized Megyn Kelly for defending the use of blackface – to dress as a White person. They also felt that “Today’s” celebration of it constituted a double standard.

Al took to Twitter to set the record straight. He said, “I can be Doc Brown…I wear the outfit and wig and not change my skin color. If you’re White, you can be President Obama if you want. Just don’t color your skin!”
