The world's tallest statue will be unveiled later this month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31st October, the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. It took over 3,000 laborers and 250 engineers to create the statue which is located on Sadhu Bet island on the Narmada River in Gujarat.
They have been working on the statue since 2013 and made up of reinforced concrete while the surface has been created by using 553 bronze panels. According to sources, around 15,000 tourists are expected to visit the statue on daily basis.
