Congressman Peter King says there has to be a universal condemnation of Saudi Arabia for carrying out an alleged killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
“You cannot have a nation-state carrying out this type of execution in their own consulate. This violates every human rights standard, every norm and it has to be condemned,” King told WOR’s “Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning.”
King said Saudi Arabia is an ally, but an ally that he doesn’t trust.
“We have to decide the type of retaliation - some type of economic retaliation at least,” King said. “We have to make it clear to them that this is wrong, condemn them.”
King said he would leave the exact sanctions up to the negotiators.
