The video above that was posted on Twitter shows an alpaca lose in Brooklyn on 14th Avenue and 54th Street in Borough Park. You can hear onlookers shouting "Runaway llama!"
The alpaca's name is Alfalfa and is owned by Peter Jager who owns a farm in Woodbury, Conn. He brought the alpaca to Borough Park as part of the Satmar UTA yeshiva’s kindergarten and first-grade education program.
“Usually around this time of year they’re studying the Torah and they want to give a visual of Noah’s Ark,” said Alfalfa’s other owner, Jaclyn Smith, 30.
“You don’t chase, you don’t chase. You run after him and he’ll take off,” Jager said. “We walked him into a corner and just grabbed him.”
