Surveillance footage shows two desperate thieves shooting and kicking a locked jewelry store’s door in Chinatown — and getting away with $100,000 worth of gold and gems.
“They come in and jump inside,” Lucky Diamond Corp. owner Charlie Wong recounted. “[He] jumped over this counter.”
As the crooks robbed the place a worker at the store pressed the panic button and locked the door.
“They had [a] gun,” Wong said, explaining that he was afraid people would be killed. “Everybody was scared.”
In the video, it shows one thief shooting out the window to escape and the other kicking down the glass.
A different surveillance video shows a possible third man but the police are still investigating whether there were more than two thieves.
