After winning the award for Best Director, Glen Weiss used his acceptance speech at the Emmys to propose to his girlfriend. She said YES!


Betty White, 96, was honor at the Emmy Awards for her 80 years in show business.

"Somebody said something the other day about first lady of television, and I took it as a big compliment," White said. "Then came the punchline, 'And then I heard her talking to her daughter a little later, and she said, 'first lady, she's that old. She was the first one way back.'"

Betty White starred in shows like "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show."

She got the crowd laughing with jokes about SNL creator Lorne Michaels.

"I want to thank Lorne Michaels, not only this tonight but all the wonderful things he has done with me, no for me," White quipped. "All I can say is it's such a blessed business to be in and how lucky can be I be and how much I say thank you to each and every one of you."


Henry Winkler wins Outstanding Supporting Actor, comedy series for the first time EVER! He's been in TV for over four decades and was nominated for 3 Emmys for his work on the show "Happy Days" as The Fonz.

He spoke with reporters after the show and got the chance to catch up with his co-star from "Happy Days" Ron Howard.
