Creepy Nursery Rhyme Keeps Family From Sleeping

"It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring." Imagine hearing that song for a full year! One woman and two children in eastern England couldn't locate the source of the singing. They finally went to the town council for help and "the council's rapid response team" who found out that it was a loudspeaker in an industrial park.

The song was an idea a business had to deter trespassers and was motion sensitive. The system ended up being too sensitive and kept being triggered by spiders.

"We are now aware of the problem," a spokesperson said, "the motion sensors were being triggered by spiders crawling across the lenses of our cameras and it looks like we've had it turned up too loudly."

"It's a massive relief and I'm looking forward to getting some actual sleep from now on," the woman told a local newspaper. "Last week it played for hours, it was just horrible."
