Nassau County Steps Up Security For Trump Visit

Security will be incredibly tight in Nassau County on Wednesday as Donald Trump arrives on Long Island for a major rally.

He'll speak to supporters at the Nassau Coliseum, just days after a man was arrested at Trump's Florida golf course in an alleged attempted assassination. Nassau County Police are working with the Secret Service to provide a heightened level of security.

"This will be the safest place in the country on Wednesday," Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said.

County Executive Bruce Blakeman said they're used to hosting high profile events, including presidential debates, cricket matches and the U.S. Open.

"This is nothing new. We are prepared and we are ready," Blakeman said.
