Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton about the Secret Service's significant security failures that led to the Trump assassination attempt.
Bratton said, "There's a consensus that the Secret Service dropped the ball in many ways. According to the latest news, there was an anti-sniper team in the building the shooter fired the shots from. I can't understand how a building in the line of sight the former President is speaking from is left unguarded, it makes no sense. We have to remember Trump no longer gets a full Secret Service team like when he was President. There are fewer agents on hand, the team must try and coordinate with local law enforcement agencies who have minimal experience in covering an event the size of the Trump rally. The current Secret Service team is undermanned, underfunded, and overworked; I hope they do not do any more outside events."
