Larry Addresses Congestion Pricing On "The WOR Saturday Morning Show"

Amid the pause on congestion pricing, Larry Mendte on "The WOR Saturday Morning Show" will hear from a state representative about why the MTA says it needs another major source of revenue.

Staten Island Assemblyman Michael Tannousis is calling for an audit of the MTA to find out exactly where the agency's money is going. Governor Hochul earlier this month hit the brakes on congestion pricing and the MTA said needed upgrades and repairs will be put on hold without the money it would have brought in.

Congestion pricing was scheduled to begin this month, charging drivers $15 to travel below 60th Street. Officials estimated it would have generated another $1 billion in annual revenue for the MTA.
