NYC Creating More Public Restrooms

Mayor Eric Adams has launched an initiative to make more public restrooms available in New York City.

The effort known as "Ur In Luck" seeks to build 46 new bathrooms across the city and to renovate 36 existing ones. Ten of those will be in the Bronx, 23 will be in Brooklyn, 28 in Manhattan, 14 in Queens and seven will be on Staten Island.

"The new and renovated bathrooms we’ll deliver over the next five years will make it easier for New Yorkers to embrace the best parts of this city: our shared outdoors spaces," Mayor Adams said.

He said there are already about 1,000 existing public restrooms available in the city.
