Security Increased In NYC After Trump Conviction

Law enforcement is keeping a close eye on New York City following the conviction of Donald Trump at his hush money trial.

The NYPD has barricades up at Trump Tower, where the former president is staying following the guilty verdict on Thursday on all 34 felony counts.

"In preparation for a verdict in this trial, I directed my Administration to closely coordinate with local and federal law enforcement and we continue to monitor the situation. We are committed to protecting the safety of all New Yorkers and the integrity of our judicial system," Governor Kathy Hochul said in a statement.
