NYC Marks 22nd Anniversary Of The 9/11 Attacks

Loved ones gathered in Lower Manhattan on Monday, marking 22 years since the 9/11 attacks.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed when two planes crashed into the World Trade Center, a third slammed into the Pentagon and a fourth was brought down in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. There were the annual reading of the names and the moments of silence.

President Biden marked the anniversary in Alaska after a weekend trip to Vietnam. The White House says he’s showing how the attacks impacted every state across the country.
