Bruce Springsteen is being forced to postpone the rest of his concerts for September because of symptoms related to peptic ulcer disease.
“Over here on E Street, we’re heartbroken to have to postpone these shows,” Springsteen said in a statement.
A total of 8 concerts in September have been postponed at the request of his medical advisors. Last month, Springsteen was forced to postpone a pair of concerts in Philadelphia because of illness.
The decision follows three shows in the past week at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Springsteen said the postponed concerts will be rescheduled.
“We’ve been having a blast at our U.S. shows and we’re looking forward to more great times. We’ll be back soon,” Springsteen said.
Springsteen will turn 74 later this month.
