As New York City and the country continue to deal with the migrant crisis, Mayor Adams is calling for new leadership to deal with the situation.
āThere needs to be an individual who is dedicated to do the decompression strategy for the federal government,ā Mayor Adams said.
President Biden has put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of dealing with the problem at the border.Ā But the mayor said the Biden Administration needs to appoint someone else.
āIt is often stated that it's the role of the VP. That's too much in her portfolio to be focused on just doing that decompression strategy. If not, the decompression strategy can't be New York City,ā Adams said.
