Another amusement park ride is apparently on its way to Times Square.
New York Magazine says there’s a proposal to build a 260-foot drop tower on Eighth Avenue by 46th Street. It would be part of a larger tower project that would include 825 hotel rooms and retail shopping.
A drop tower in Times Square would be another step toward turning the area into an amusement park-like destination. There are already costumed characters wandering around and the RiseNY simulation ride gives people a virtual look at the skyline of the city.
Back in 2021, there was also a ferris wheel in Times Square.
