Mayor Adams Says He’ll Work With Congressman George Santos

Calls continue to grow for Congressman George Santos to resign, but Mayor Adams says he’s going to work him.

“He's the congressperson that represent parts of the city. And even in the state, there are things we need in the state and also there are things we're going to need. We're going to need votes on the federal level,” Adams said.

Santos has told widespread lies about his experience and background, causing some of his fellow Republicans to say he should step down. Adams wouldn’t go that far and said they’re going to need his help in Congress.

“So until it's determined that he no longer should serve — right now his name is congressman. And we are not leaving any stone unturned on who we should be sitting down with to make sure New Yorkers get the resources that they need,” Adams said.
