Jersey City Mayor Won’t Run For Re-Election

Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop has announced he won’t run for another term in office.

Fulop has already served three terms as mayor and there’s speculation he could have his eyes on the governor’s office. Governor Murphy is in his second and final term, which will end at the same time that Fulop’s term as mayor concludes.

Fulop is just 45 years old and is considered a rising Democratic star in New Jersey. Many thought he would run for governor five years ago.
