Jackie Robinson Museum In SoHo Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

A brand new museum honoring the life and career of Jackie Robinson held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

“It was my honor to join Jackie Robinson's family to celebrate his legacy at the new Jackie Robinson Museum in NYC,” Mayor Adams said on Twitter.

Jackie Robinson’s widow Rachel and their son David were on hand for the ceremony.

“When he stepped up to the plate in Brooklyn, he stood up for generations of Black Americans — and the world noticed,” Adams said.

The museum will open in September.
