NYC To Begin Baby Vaccinations This Week

Mayor Eric Adams announced that New York City would begin vaccinating kids as young as 6 months old this week.

“The next step towards a return to normalcy is around the corner for our youngest New Yorkers,” Adams said.

Vaccinations will begin as early as Wednesday after the CDC and FDA gave approval for use of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.

“I know how long parents and caretakers of our little ones have been waiting for the moment their youngest would have access to a COVID-19 vaccine, and as soon as that moment comes, I want them to know we will be ready,” Adams said.

City-run sites will offer the vaccine in all five boroughs.
