Cashless Tolling Set To Begin On George Washington Bridge

Beginning on July 10, cashless tolls will be up and running at the George Washington Bridge.

The system will scan a driver’s E-Z Pass for payment. If a driver doesn’t have E-Z pass, a picture will be taken of their license plate and they’ll receive a bill in the mail.

“Cashless transactions are no longer a thing of the future in this age of touchless financial transactions, and for non-E-ZPass customers that convenience of modern life has now come to our 90-year-old George Washington Bridge,” Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole said.

Cashless tolls have already been installed on the Staten Island bridges and at the Holland Tunnel.
