A charter bus carrying youth members and volunteers from Lives Changed by Christ crashed in Pennsylvania, injuring 32 people. The bus driver lost control on an exit ramp causing the bus to roll down an embankment onto another roadway, where it struck a guardrail and then finally came to a stop in a wooded area about 50 yards off the road.

Officials said that everybody on the bus had to be hospitalized and that five people were in critical condition. One firefighter was also treated for minor injuries.

"At this time, we transported 32 to the local hospitals. Several went by helicopter, mostly by ground EMS to several hospitals throughout the county," Tremont Fire Chief Brian Eisenacher told WBRE. "We had to pretty much work off the ladders alongside the bus to get the patients out. Everyone pretty much was inside the bus still when we got here, and we had mostly everybody transported probably within the hour."

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the 37-year-old bus driver to lose control.

"Our staff are onsite and are still working to gather all the details, but there are injured passengers who have been taken to nearby hospitals. There were a total of 3 buses returning to the Manheim campus, the other two buses have arrived safely to the campus," said Senior Pastor David Ashcraft with LCBC in a statement.
