Mayor Bill de Blasio says New York City will likely fall short of his goal of getting 5 million people vaccinated by the end of June.
“It's going to be very, very tough at this point to hit five million by the end of June, but we are going to be, certainly, well over four million,” de Blasio said.
He said currently, the city is about 76 percent of the way towards the goal. De Blasio also said the city continues to move in the right direction.
“We're at a point of COVID positivity, that's lower than we expected to be at this point and more consistently moving in the right direction,” de Blasio said.
