Manhattan Federal Court Buildings Now Require Everyone To Wear 2 Face Masks

Two masks are now required in order to enter Manhattan Federal Court Buildings. People who need to enter the court now must be either wearing two face masks or an FDA-approved N95 mask. This is a new rule now included in the federal court district's new COVID-19 safety guidelines. Gaiters, bandannas, or masks with vents aren't allowed according to the regulations.

Last week, the CDC recommended double masking for increased protection against coronavirus. This sparked new rules for the federal court system in Manhattan. These rules are now in effect at all federal courthouses in the Southern District of New York, which includes Manhattan, the Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess and Sullivan Counties.
