Mayor de Blasio Takes Responsibility for Slow Vaccine Rollout

Amid criticism over the slow rollout of the vaccine in New York City, Mayor Bill de Blasio says you can blame him.

“I am fully responsible for all the efforts of New York City government. I expect us to do better,” Mayor de Blasio said.

So far, city hospitals have administered only about a third of the vaccines they’ve been given.

“I'm holding every one of my colleagues accountable and myself accountable,” de Blasio said.

But the mayor also called on Governor Cuomo to stop threatening hospitals with fines for failing to administer all of its doses.
