Governor Cuomo Shows Off Vaccine

Governor Andrew Cuomo calls it the “weapon that will win the war.”

He used a briefing on Thursday to show off the new Pfizer vaccine.

“We are working very hard to be ready for the distribution and training people on the distribution to make sure it's all done correctly,” Cuomo said.

The governor previously announced that vaccines for 170,000 people would be ready on December 15th.

The vaccine storage box comes with a GPS tracking system and it has to be kept cold.

“It comes wrapped in dry ice. The dry ice because it has to be ultra-cold. When you receive the package, you have to replace the dry ice and then you have to replace the dry ice every five days. Under the dry ice is the actual package that has the trays in it,” Cuomo said.
