New Jersey health officials are urging people to keep Thanksgiving celebrations small this year.
It’s encouraged that people have dinner just with their immediate family. If you celebrate with others, everyone is encouraged to stay six feet apart.
“Guests should avoid direct contact, including handshakes and hugs with others outside their household. The best option is to host outdoors rather than indoors, as much as possible,” Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said.
When indoors, windows and doors should be kept open to improve ventilation. There should also be plenty of soap and sanitizer available.
People are also encouraged to avoid singing or shouting.
