New Restrictions Take Effect in New Jersey

Beginning on Thursday, indoor dining at restaurants, bars and lounges will have to stop at 10 p.m.

"As cases of COVID-19 increase across the country and in our state, we must take all measures necessary to stop the spread,” Governor Phil Murphy said in a statement.

Casinos will be prohibited from serving food and drinks between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The restrictions also include a ban on interstate indoor youth sports.

Seating near the bars will also be off limits.

“We must come together as a state to once again beat back this deadly virus and to save lives,” Murphy said.
