Coronavirus cases are increasing across New York, especially on Staten Island which has seen an even bigger spike than the rest of the state.
Governor Cuomo is blaming New Jersey.
“Staten Islanders spend a lot of time going back and forth from New Jersey, and New Jersey has a very high rate. I think that's part of what's driving the high rate in Staten Island, which is higher than the rate in the rest of New York City,” Governor Cuomo said.
Cuomo announced new restrictions for the state that will take effect on Friday. That includes closing down restaurants, bars and gyms at 10 p.m.Restaurants will still be allowed to offer delivery and take out service.
