Mayor de Blasio Concerned About Increasing Coronavirus Cases

Mayor de Blasio says New York City’s 7-day average of new cases has reached 593, rising above the threshold of 550.

“As I've said before, that is an area of concern,” de Blasio said.

Mayor de Blasio said part of the reason for the increase in positive tests is that the city is doing more testing, which he said is a good thing. But he said the increase in cases is concerning.

“We want to turn the tide now with all the outreach and the face mask wearing and the social distancing and the testing,” de Blasio said.
