Indoor Sports Can Resume in NJ

Governor Phil Murphy has signed an executive order that clears the way for indoor sports to begin again in New Jersey.

“After consulting stakeholders and medical experts, we have concluded that, with proper public health and safety protocols in place, indoor sports may now resume in a way that protects players, coaches, and staff,” Murphy said.

The order includes sports like basketball, hockey, cheerleading and wrestling. It encompasses both practices and competitions.

There will be a 25 percent limit on capacity, or 25 people, whichever is fewer.
