President Trump Says He's Leaving Walter Reed To Return To The White House

President Trump Arrives Back At White House After Stay At Walter Reed Medical Center For Covid

President Donald Trump has arrived back at the White House after spending three days at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, following his diagnosis with COVID-19. Just before leaving, President Trump vowed he would be back on the campaign trail soon.

"Will be back on the Campaign Trail soon!!! The Fake News only shows the Fake Polls," he wrote on Twitter.

President Trump was cleared by his doctor's on Monday morning and returned to Washington, D.C., on Marine One.

During a press conference on Monday afternoon, White House physician, Dr. Sean Conley, said that Trump's condition has improved since he was admitted to Walter Reed on Friday and that it is safe for him to return to the White House. Conley cautioned that Trump is not "out of the woods" and will be monitored by medical professionals at all times.

"Though he may not be entirely out of the woods yet, the team and I agree that all our evaluations, and most importantly, his clinical status, support the president's safe return home," Conley said.

Conley said that President Trump will be given the fourth dose of Remdesivir before he leaves Walter Reed and will receive the final treatment on Tuesday at the White House.

Prior to the press conference, President Trump tweeted that he would be returning to the White House later in the day.

"I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago," Trump tweeted.

Earlier in the day, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said the president was continuing "to improve overnight and is ready to get back to a normal working schedule."

First Lady Melania Trump, who also tested positive for COVID-19, is quarantining in the White House and is doing well.

"My family is grateful for all of the prayers & support! I am feeling good & will continue to rest at home. Thank you to medical staff & caretakers everywhere, & my continued prayers for those who are ill or have a family member impacted by the virus," she tweeted.
