Two New Jersey police officers have admitted that they smashed up two cars owned by a man who had filed a complaint about them. Asbury Park Police Officer Stephen Martinsen, 31, and former officer Thomas Dowling, 27, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief. The men reportedly smashed windows and slashed the tires of the cars that belonged to the man, causing $500 in damage, according to prosecutors. As a part of their plea agreement, neither of the two men will be allowed to work in public service in the state. Their sentencing is scheduled for October 16.
