Governor Cuomo Won’t Force New Jersey To Quarantine

New Jersey is dealing with a spike in its infection rate, but Governor Cuomo said there’s no plans to add it to the list of states where travelers have to quarantine when arriving in New York.

“I don’t know how you could quarantine New Jersey. They don’t fly into New York. You’d have to blockade roads and we’re not talking about blockading. We’re going to keep our fingers crossed and work with them,” Governor Cuomo said.

Governor Murphy blames New Jersey’s rising infection rate on large house parties. Last weekend, police broke up a party in Jackson with 700 people in attendance. Fifty people also became infected after a party in Middletown.
