NJ Malls To Reopen on June 29

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has announced that malls in the state will be able to reopen on June 29.

“Certainly malls are part of New Jersey culture and lore, I think as much here if not more so than any other American state. We want these businesses to get back up and running responsibly and safely,” Murphy said.

That means social distancing rules will be in effect. There will be a 50 percent capacity limit and food courts will remain closed.

“All mall customers will be required to wear face coverings. Please abide by that at all times while indoors, with the exception solely for residents with medical conditions which make wearing a face mask impossible, and children under two years old,” Murphy said.
